Challenges of modern museums

Managing a museum facility is a balancing act between educational mission and economics. Directors increasingly report to us the same operational problems that block the growth of souvenir sales.

Lack of staff
Difficulty in finding employees to staff the stores and the high cost of maintaining a full-time position.
Fixed costs vs. seasonality
A stationary store generates costs even with zero traffic. A vending machine does not take a salary.
Lack of inspections and reports
Problems with inventory and real-time sales reporting.
Inside the museum - a modern space

Why is a vending machine an ideal solution for a museum?

The deployment of GW Souvenirs vending machines is a strategic decision. These are not mechanical machines of the old type, but intelligent premium points of sale.

Passive income

The machine works 24 hours a day. It generates funds without involving staff. Does not get sick, does not take vacations, always sells.

Cashless payments

The modern tourist does not carry cash. Our vending machines support cards, BLIK, Apple Pay and Google Pay, eliminating the barrier to purchase.

Full telemetry

For the director, data counts. You gain:

  • Online sales monitoring
  • End of stock alerts
  • Full transaction history

FAQ - Questions from museum directors

No. Our devices have their own GSM/LTE telemetry modules. They operate independently of the museum's IT infrastructure, ensuring the security of the internal network.

No. The idea is full maintenance-free. In the Revenue Share model, it is we who take care of the service and efficiency. The vending machine sells itself, and the system notifies you when you need to top up your medals, for example.

Yes. SMALL (wall) and MIDI (slim) models have a very small depth (about 30cm) and are designed for walkways. We always advise the model after auditing the floor plan of the room.

We rely on cashless payments, which eliminate the problem of change. In cash configurations, depending on the settings, the vending machine may not give change (informing you of this) or use hoppers to dispense, but in museums we recommend payment terminals.

We are a Polish manufacturer (GW Souvenirs). We design and assemble everything in Poland, which guarantees availability of parts and fast service.
